Environmental Management Administration

Director Shih holds dual master's degrees from the National Taiwan University Graduate Institute of Environmental Engineering and the Soochow University Law School. He has overseen national environmental protection projects, the National Sustainable Development Conference, amendments to environmental impact assessment regulations, legal interpretations, environmental impact evaluation supervision, waste treatment facility management, and environmental law enforcement, with achievements recognized by officials at all levels. In 2018, he served as the director of the Chiayi County Environmental Protection Bureau, integrating central and local resources to combat environmental crime and pollution, safeguarding environmental quality. He signed agreements with large enterprises to promote environmentally friendly practices, effectively reducing pollutant emissions. Recently, through the Smart Governance Platform for Good Partners, he has utilized technological law enforcement and resource sharing to achieve the goal of improving pollution hotspots. Additionally, he actively reviews AI applications, developing innovative image recognition applications to establish an AI governance center.
