Yen Hsu-Ming

Director general, Environmental Management Administration, MOENV

Director General Yen Hsu-Ming holds a master's degree in public administration from Tung Hai University. Early in his public servant career, he served as the head of Bali Sanitary Landfill and Bali Refuse Incineration Plant under the New Taipei City Environmental Protection Department, where he began working on the proper disposal of municipal waste; his active attitude and communication earned him praise from environmental organizations and officials alike. Mr. Yen served as the Director General of the Chiayi County Environmental Protection Bureau from 2013 to 2018, where he consolidated public and private entities through innovative ideas and integrated technology with policies to effectively investigate pollution cases and greatly improve overall environmental quality and hygiene. Later, while serving as the executive secretary of the Recycling Fund Management Board, Mr. Yen dedicated to improve the occupational safety and health, along with working conditions of public sanitation workers across Taiwan.
